HISTORY AND DEVELOPMENT

To meet the requirements for managing both on-campus (resident) and off-campus (non-resident) students, the DEPARTMENT OF PUPIL AND STUDENT AFFAIRS was established. The Department operates under the direct leadership and guidance of the School Board. The organization and operations of the Department comply with the Regulations on Pupil and Student Affairs issued by the Ministry of Education and Training. Its organizational structure is decided by the Principal, comprising the Head of the Department, the Deputy Head, and officers/staff members.

Since its establishment, the DEPARTMENT OF PUPIL AND STUDENT AFFAIRS has gradually asserted its position, prestige, and role. It has successfully collaborated with internal and external units in managing, educating, and training students, as well as in executing the general missions of the School. The collective staff of the DEPARTMENT OF PUPIL AND STUDENT AFFAIRS has consistently and effectively fulfilled all assigned duties.

FUNCTIONS

To advise and assist the School Board in managing, consolidating, proposing ideas, and organizing the implementation of the following tasks: political and ideological education for students; student management; and the implementation of student policies and regimes throughout the school in accordance with current regulations.

DUTIES

- Supervise the execution of academic plans and extracurricular activities of students.

- Advise and propose solutions to the Principal regarding student management in accordance with the regulations on pupil and student affairs.

- Coordinate with relevant units to provide political and ideological education, and to propagate the guidelines and policies of the Party and the laws of the State to students.

- Receive, compile lists, review records, and assign classes for newly enrolled students (across all training systems) school-wide.

- Review all types of profiles and documents related to students at the school and at Vocational and Continuing Education Centers to serve graduation examinations.

- Develop programs and training content on soft skills for students. - Implement various types of insurance for students in accordance with the provisions of law.

- Organize the admission process for successful applicants; handle administrative procedures for students who withdraw, transfer schools, etc.

- Conduct the evaluation of student conduct/training results according to regulations.

- Formulate and organize the implementation of documents regarding homeroom teacher duties and student management; collaborate with departments, faculties, and centers in managing students, maintaining student records, and implementing regimes and policies for students.

- Manage the student dormitories.

- Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal.

- Grassroots-Level Certificate of Merit for the academic years 2015–2016, 2016–2017, 2020–2021, 2021–2022, 2022–2023, 2023–2024.
