DEVELOPMENT PROCESS AND HISTORY

The Faculty of Electricity of Vinh Phuc College of Techniques and Technology, formerly known as the Faculty of Electrical - Electronic Engineering, was established under Scheme No. 8595/DA-UBND dated November 4, 2024, of the People's Committee of Vinh Phuc Province on merging Vinh Phuc Vocational College into Vinh Phuc Economic - Technical College and renaming it Vinh Phuc College of Techniques and Technology, and Decision No. 1974/QD-BLDTBXH dated November 29, 2024, of the Minister of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs on merging Vinh Phuc Vocational College into Vinh Phuc Economic - Technical College and renaming it Vinh Phuc College of Techniques and Technology.

FUNCTIONS

As the unit responsible for teaching and training subjects in the majors of Industrial Electricity, Domestic Electricity, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineering (Refrigeration) at college and lower levels.

Advising the Board of Rectors on the construction and development of the college.

TASKS

Managing teachers, managers, officials, staff, and learners within the faculty and departments according to the delegation of authority by the rector.

Implementing teaching and learning plans as well as extracurricular activities in accordance with the annual curriculum and teaching plans of the college as regulated by the Minister of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs, including: Developing training programs; compiling training materials, textbooks, and learning materials for each major and occupation according to each training level and training form under the management of the faculty/departments or as assigned by the rector. Organizing the compilation of detailed outlines for relevant subjects and modules to ensure consistency, avoiding overlaps or duplications between subjects and modules of the training program or between training levels. Organizing training, research, and innovation in teaching methods; applying information and communication technology in teaching to improve training quality. Developing and implementing methods for testing, examination, and evaluation of learners' learning and training outcomes, ensuring that learners' learning outcomes meet the published commitments and satisfy the requirements of the labor market;

Planning and organizing the implementation of scientific and technological activities, international cooperation; cooperating with scientific and technological organizations, production, business, and service establishments related to the training majors and mobilizing the participation of enterprises in the training process of the faculty;

Formulating development plans for the teaching staff; training majors, occupations, facilities, and equipment serving training and scientific research; strengthening conditions to ensure training quality; conducting experimental activities, scientific research, and applying techniques and technology into the training process;

Formulating plans and organizing the implementation of political, ideological, ethical, and lifestyle education for teachers, managers, officials, staff, and learners; having plans for training and fostering to improve professional and operational qualifications for teachers, managers, officials, and staff within the faculty;

Organizing the evaluation of teachers, managers, officials, and staff within the faculty and participating in the evaluation of managers within the college according to the regulations of the college;

Managing and efficiently utilizing facilities and training equipment according to the regulations of the rector; proposing and formulating plans for the supplementation and maintenance of the faculty's training equipment;

Implementing the reporting regime in accordance with the regulations of the rector.

ACHIEVEMENTS AND RESULTS OBTAINED

- Regarding vocational teacher teaching competitions:

The faculty has had many teachers participating in the Vinh Phuc Provincial Vocational Teacher Teaching Competition and winning first, second, and third prizes; 01 teacher won the second prize in the National Teaching Competition in September 2015.

- Regarding skills competitions for pupils and students:

The faculty has had many excellent students winning first prizes at the provincial level in Electrical Installation, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning; 03 excellent students won third prizes nationally; 02 students won consolation prizes in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning and 01 consolation prize in Electrical Installation.

- Regarding self-made vocational training equipment competitions:

The faculty has had many models participating in the National Self-made Training Equipment Competition and winning first, second, and third prizes in the years 2013, 2016, 2019, 2022.

With the above achievements, the collective of the Faculty of Electricity was awarded certificates of merit for Excellent Labor Collective by the Provincial Chairman for the 2014 - 2015 and 2015 - 2016 academic years; awarded the Emulation Flag for Excellent Labor Collective by the Provincial Chairman for the 2013 - 2014 and 2016 - 2017 academic years; and awarded a certificate of merit by the Prime Minister for the 2014 - 2015 academic year.
