FORMATION AND DEVELOPMENT PROCESS
The Faculty of Fashion Technology at Vinh Phuc College of Technology and Engineering today was formerly known as the Faculty of Garment Technology at Vinh Phuc Technical Intermediate School. In October 2014, the faculty was merged into the Garment Technology subject group of Viet Duc Vinh Phuc Vocational College in Vinh Phuc province.
On November 28, 2024, Vinh Phuc Vocational College and Vinh Phuc College of Economics and Engineering merged to become Vinh Phuc College of Technology and Engineering, and the unit was officially named the Faculty of Fashion Technology.
Since its establishment, the Faculty of Fashion Technology has built, strived, and developed in both quality and quantity. The faculty always successfully fulfills its assigned duties, step by step meeting the learning and training needs of a skilled workforce for Vinh Phuc province and the nation in the cause of "Industrialization - Modernization of the country".
The Faculty of Garment Technology consists of 13 officers and teachers. In terms of educational qualifications, there are 5 members with a Master's degree, 7 members with a Bachelor's degree, and 1 member with other qualifications. The Faculty of Fashion Technology is a specialized department that assists the Rector in managing human resource training associated with production in the Fashion Garment industry across 3 levels: college, intermediate, and elementary.
FUNCTIONS AND TASKS
- Manage and organize the implementation of training tasks for the Fashion Garment industry at college, intermediate, and elementary vocational levels.
- Formulate teaching plans in cooperation with centers, businesses, and other training institutions. Foster and improve the professional qualifications and vocational skills of the teaching staff upon approval by the Rector.
- Manage, utilize, operate, and effectively exploit infrastructure and equipment of the Fashion Garment major to serve students' practical training. Coordinate with specialized departments to build practice material norms for students.
- Manage officers, teachers, and students within the specialized majors under the faculty's management.
- Organize scientific and technological activities, and actively exploit cooperative projects.
- Conduct the compilation of programs and textbooks for modules and subjects according to the framework curriculum of vocational education for the Fashion Garment major.
- Coordinate with other units within the college and production/business establishments to implement experimental activities, scientific research, and the application of technical technology into the vocational teaching process; constantly innovate content and improve vocational teaching methods to enhance training quality.
- Actively organize, expand, and effectively operate production service types legally to connect with reality, improve vocational skills for teachers and students, and elevate the living standards of officers and teachers within the faculty.
- Participate in homeroom teacher duties, enrollment work for all levels, enrollment for businesses, and pay close attention to securing employment for students after graduation.
