SUMMARY OF DEVELOPMENT HISTORY

The Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Vinh Phuc College of Technology was established under Decision No. 41/QD-CDKTCN dated February 19, 2025, by the Rector of Vinh Phuc College of Technology. It was founded on the basis of merging the Faculty of Manufacturing Engineering of Vinh Phuc Vocational College and the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of Vinh Phuc College of Economics and Technology, in accordance with Scheme No. 8595/DA-UBND dated November 4, 2024, of the Vinh Phuc Provincial People's Committee regarding the merger of Vinh Phuc Vocational College into Vinh Phuc College of Economics and Technology and its renaming to Vinh Phuc College of Technology, and Decision No. 1974/QD-BLDTBXH dated November 29, 2024, of the Minister of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs regarding the merger of Vinh Phuc Vocational College into Vinh Phuc College of Economics and Technology and its renaming to Vinh Phuc College of Technology.

FUNCTIONS

To act as the unit responsible for teaching and training subjects within the majors of Mechanical Engineering Technology, Machining (Metal Cutting), Mechatronics, and Welding at the advanced diploma (college), intermediate, and elementary levels.

To advise the Board of Rectors on the construction and development of the college.

DUTIES

To manage teachers, managerial staff, public employees, workers, and learners within the faculty and departments as decentralized by the rector.

To implement teaching and learning plans as well as extracurricular activities in accordance with the annual curriculum and teaching plans of the college, adhering to the regulations of the Minister of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, including: Developing training programs; compiling training materials, textbooks, and learning resources for each major and trade according to each training level and form of training managed by the faculty/department or assigned by the rector. Organizing the compilation of detailed outlines for related subjects and modules to ensure consistency, avoiding overlaps or duplications between subjects and modules within the training program or between training levels. Organizing training, research, and innovation in teaching methodologies; applying information and communication technology to teaching to enhance training quality. Developing and implementing methods for testing, examination, and assessment of learners' study and training results, ensuring learners' output standards meet the published commitments and satisfy the requirements of the labor market;

To plan and organize scientific and technological activities, and international cooperation; to cooperate with scientific and technological organizations, production, business, and service establishments related to the trained majors and trades, and to mobilize the participation of enterprises in the faculty's training process;

To build plans for the development of the teaching staff; trained majors and trades, as well as facilities and equipment serving training and scientific research; to strengthen conditions that guarantee training quality; to carry out experimental activities, scientific research, and the application of techniques and technology into the training process;

To build plans and organize the implementation of political, ideological, ethical, and lifestyle education for teachers, managerial staff, public employees, workers, and learners; to have plans for training and fostering to improve the professional and operational qualifications of teachers, managerial staff, public employees, and workers within the faculty;

To organize the evaluation of teachers, managerial staff, public employees, and workers within the faculty, and to participate in the evaluation of managerial staff within the college according to the college's regulations;

To manage and effectively utilize the facilities and training equipment in accordance with the rector's regulations; to propose and build plans for the supplementation and maintenance of the faculty's training equipment;

To implement the reporting regime as regulated by the rector.

ACHIEVED RESULTS AND ACCOMPLISHMENTS

- Regarding Vocational Teacher Teaching Competitions: The faculty has had many teachers participating in the Provincial and National Vocational Education Teacher Teaching Competitions, winning first, second, and third prizes.

- Regarding Skills Competitions for Pupils and Students: The faculty has had many excellent students winning provincial and national first prizes in Mechanical Engineering Design (CAD) and Welding skills.

- Regarding Self-Made Vocational Training Equipment Competitions: The faculty has had many models entering the Provincial and National Self-Made Training Equipment Competitions, winning first, second, and third prizes across various competition periods.

With the aforementioned achievements, the collective of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering was awarded the Emulation Flag by the Provincial Chairman in 2020, an official Certificate of Merit for an Excellent Labor Collective for the 2019 – 2020 academic year, and many other noble awards.
