HISTORY OF FORMATION AND DEVELOPMENT
The Faculty of Economics - Tourism Services of Vinh Phuc College of Technology and Engineering was established under Scheme No. 8595/DA-UBND dated November 4, 2024, of the People's Committee of Vinh Phuc Province, and Decision No. 1974/QD-BLDTBXH dated November 29, 2024, of the Minister of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs regarding the merger of Vinh Phuc Vocational College into Vinh Phuc College of Economics and Engineering and the renaming to Vinh Phuc College of Technology and Engineering, whose predecessors were the Faculty of Economics and the Faculty of Economics - Construction of the two colleges before the merger.
FUNCTIONS
To act as a direct unit implementing training programs in the fields of Business and Management, Tourism, and Hospitality at college and lower levels. To advise the Board of Rectors on the construction and development of the college.
DUTIES
To manage teachers, administrators, public servants, employees, and learners within the faculty and departments as decentralized by the Rector.
To implement teaching and learning plans as well as extracurricular activities in accordance with the annual curriculum and teaching plans of the college as prescribed by the Minister of Education and Training, including: Developing training curricula; compiling training materials, textbooks, and learning materials for each major and occupation at each training level and mode of training under the management of the faculty/departments or as assigned by the Rector. Organizing the compilation of detailed outlines for relevant subjects and modules to ensure consistency, avoiding overlaps or duplications between subjects and modules of the training curriculum or between training levels. Organizing training, research, and innovation in teaching methods; applying information and communication technology into teaching to improve training quality. Developing and implementing methods for testing, examination, and assessment of learners' study and training results, ensuring learners' learning outcomes meet the announced commitments and satisfy the requirements of the labor market;
To plan and organize the implementation of scientific and technological activities and international cooperation; to cooperate with scientific and technological organizations, production, business, and service establishments related to the trained majors and occupations, and to mobilize the participation of enterprises in the training process of the faculty;
To develop plans for the development of the teaching staff; trained majors and occupations, as well as facilities and equipment serving training and scientific research; to enhance conditions that guarantee training quality; to implement experimental activities, scientific research, and the application of techniques and technology into the training process;
To develop plans and organize the implementation of political, ideological, ethical, and lifestyle education for teachers, administrators, public servants, employees, and learners; to have plans for training and fostering to improve the professional qualifications and competence of teachers, administrators, public servants, and employees within the faculty;
To organize the evaluation of teachers, administrators, public servants, and employees within the faculty and participate in the evaluation of administrators within the college according to the regulations of the college;
To manage and effectively utilize facilities and training equipment as prescribed by the Rector; to propose and develop plans for the replenishment and maintenance of the faculty's training equipment.

- Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister for achievements in education and training tasks from the 2011 - 2012 academic year to the 2015 - 2016 academic year.
- Certificate of Merit from the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee awarded to the unit with outstanding achievements in tasks in 2006.
- Emulation Flag from the Provincial People's Committee awarded to the excellent unit in the 2013 - 2014 academic year.
- Title of Excellent Labor Collective for the 2016 - 2017 academic year and the 2024 - 2025 academic year, recognized by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.
- Achieved the title of Advanced Labor Collective for many consecutive years and was awarded Certificates of Merit by the Rector for excellently completing tasks.

- For pupils and students: 01 student won the First Prize and 01 student won the Consolation Prize at the 2022 Provincial Skills Competition - Restaurant Service skill.
