FORMATION AND DEVELOPMENT PROCESS
The Faculty of Power Engineering was established on May 5, 2011, on the basis of being separated from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering under Decision No. 260 – CDN dated May 05, 2011 of Viet - Duc Vinh Phuc Vocational College.
After the merger, it was renamed the Faculty of Automotive Technology of Vinh Phuc College of Engineering and Technology.
Currently, the Faculty of Automotive Technology consists of 3 departments:
- Department of Engines;
- Department of Automotive and Motorcycle Electricity;
Department of Chassis and Bodywork. The total number of staff and teachers in the faculty is 20. Regarding qualifications: there are 14 master's degree holders, 5 engineers, and 1 bachelor's degree holder. The Faculty's lecturing staff is dynamic, most of whom have practical working experience at enterprises, and have achieved many achievements in teaching and scientific research. Currently, the faculty is in charge of 21 laboratory and practice rooms equipped with modern training equipment.
FUNCTIONS
The Faculty of Automotive Technology is a specialized unit responsible for managing and training human resources associated with production reality in the fields of Automotive Technology and Motorcycle Repair, across 3 training levels: Advanced Diploma (College), Intermediate (Vocational), and Elementary.
TASKS
- Implement teaching work and educational activities assigned according to the school's annual program and plan.
- Guide vocational internships for students, provide advanced knowledge and skill training, and assess workmanship levels for enterprises inside and outside the province in occupations within the training scope from elementary to advanced diploma levels: Automotive Technology, Motorcycle Repair.
- Participate in compiling programs and course syllabi; participate in training students for provincial and national skills competitions.
- Carry out school-level and provincial-level scientific research projects.
- Manage teachers, staff, and students under the faculty's specialized supervision.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the School Board of Management.
ACHIEVEMENTS
- Emulation Flag from the People's Committee of Vinh Phuc Province 2021-2022;
- Excellent Labor Collective title for the academic year: 2017-2018;
- Certificate of Merit from the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for the academic years: 2013 – 2014; 2014 -2015; 2016 – 2017;
- Many teachers and students have won awards in National competitions, such as:
+ Excellent teachers: 01 teacher won Third prize; 02 teachers won Consolation prizes;
+ Self-made vocational training equipment: 01 First prize; 01 Third prize; 01 Consolation prize;
+ Student vocational skills: 01 student won a Consolation prize.
