On the morning of April 18, 2026, the 2026 Phu Tho Province Career Orientation - Enrollment - Labor Supply & Demand Connection Conference took place at the Vinh Phuc College of Technology and Engineering. The event was organized by the Department of Education and Training in coordination with the Department of Home Affairs.
Attending and directing the conference was Mr. Nguyen Khac Hieu, Member of the Provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee. The event also welcomed representatives from various departments, agencies, universities, vocational education institutions, high schools, middle schools, businesses from both inside and outside the province, and nearly 2.000 students.
As the host unit, Vinh Phuc College of Technology and Engineering proactively prepared all necessary facilities, technical support, and personnel, coordinating closely with relevant agencies to ensure a professional, safe, and effective conference. Thirty consulting booths were scientifically arranged, providing a favorable space for counseling, networking, and hands-on experiences for students.

Within the framework of the conference, a seminar on career guidance, enrollment, and job placement provided practical information on human resource needs, career trends, and labor market requirements in the current period.
Several cooperation agreements were signed, including: A coordination program on training and supplying human resources according to business needs in Phu Tho province between the Department of Education and Training, the Department of Home Affairs, the Industrial Zones Management Board, and the Investment Promotion and Business Support Center.Training cooperation and commissioned training orders between vocational education institutions and enterprises.Labor supply contracts between the Phu Tho Employment Service Center and enterprises. These agreements contribute to strengthening the link between "Training – Utilization – Human Resource Development".
The seminar on career guidance, enrollment, and job introduction provided practical information on manpower needs and labor market trends.

Notably, the enrollment and recruitment booths attracted a large number of students. Here, learners had direct access to information on various occupations, study opportunities, and jobs, while experiencing vocational skill demonstrations organized by training institutions and businesses.

Speaking at the conference, Vice Chairman Nguyen Khac Hieu acknowledged the proactivity of the organizing units and emphasized: "Developing high-quality human resources is one of the province's three strategic breakthroughs." He noted that the workforce must not only be sufficient in quantity but also possess high expertise, digital skills, and the ability to adapt quickly to the Industrial Revolution 4.0.
To meet these requirements, the Vice Chairman requested: Department of Education and Training: Continue to advise on streamlining the training system to form high-quality schools; innovate curricula toward practical application, AI integration, and digital transformation; and strengthen links with businesses to build a "training - internship - employment" ecosystem. Department of Home Affairs: Lead the completion of the provincial Human Resource Development Project; improve the capacity to forecast labor demand by occupation and level; and promote digital transformation in the labor market information system. Universities and Vocational Schools: Review and adjust training majors to match actual needs; enhance practice and soft skills; and apply digital technology and AI in teaching. General Schools: Step up early career guidance. Students: Choose careers based on personal ability and local development trends; proactively equip themselves with skills, especially digital skills and a professional attitude, to be ready for integration.
The success of the conference not only affirms the organizational capacity and prestige of Vinh Phuc College of Technology and Engineering but also creates an effective bridge between schools, learners, and businesses. This moves toward the goal of developing high-quality human resources to meet the province's socio-economic development requirements in the new era.
The conference served as an important occasion for students to gain clearer career orientation and proactively prepare the knowledge and skills necessary to adapt to today's volatile labor market.
