In accordance with Plan No. 61/KH-SGDDT-SNV dated March 31, 2026, issued by the inter-departmental Department of Education and Training and Department of Home Affairs, and Guidance Document No. 1165/SGDDT-GDNN dated April 3, 2026, of the Phu Tho Department of Education and Training; on April 18, 2026, Vinh Phuc College of Technology and Engineering (VPCTE) hosted the "2026 Career Orientation, Enrollment Counseling, and Labor Supply-Demand Connection Conference of Phu Tho Province".

The conference was attended by: Mr. Nguyen Khac Hieu - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Vice Chairman of the Phu Tho Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Ho Quang Phuc - Deputy Chief of Office of the Phu Tho Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Nguyen Phu Son - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training; Mr. Tran Minh Tuan - Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training; Mr. Hoang Cong Thang - Deputy Director of the Department of Home Affairs; Mr. Nguyen Thanh Huy - Deputy Head of the Provincial Industrial Zones Management Board; Mr. Le Nguyen Thanh Trung - Deputy Director in charge of the Provincial Investment Promotion and Business Support Center; Mr. Tran Dinh Chien - Vice Rector of Hung Vuong University; Mr. Ha Vu Tuyen - Secretary of the Party Committee, Rector of Vinh Phuc College of Technology and Engineering; Representatives from various provincial departments, the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies, local People's Committees (Vinh Phuc and Vinh Yen wards), leaders of higher education and vocational institutions, high schools, middle schools, and over 1.450 students from across Phu Tho province.

Overview of the Conference.
The conference serves as a significant activity, demonstrating the college's responsibility in collaborating with state management agencies and enterprises to enhance the quality of career orientation, enrollment, and human resource training. It also acts as a practical forum to connect stakeholders within the vocational education and labor market ecosystem.
During the conference, a representative of the Organizing Board emphasized that amidst the shifting labor market under the influence of Industry 4.0, proper career orientation for students while they are still in school is of vital importance. The conference helps 9th and 12th-grade students raise awareness about vocational education and better understand study and employment opportunities, enabling them to make choices that align with their abilities, interests, and social needs.

A highlight of the event was the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing ceremony between the college and various enterprises. The agreements focused on:
- Customized training based on enterprise demands;
- Collaborating to develop practical training curricula;
- Providing internships and recruiting students after graduation;
- Organizing field trips and practical experience activities at enterprises.
These partnerships not only improve training quality but also ensure stable employment outcomes for students, building trust among parents and society regarding vocational education.

Additionally, the conference featured counseling booths and exhibitions showcasing training products, educational models, and the college's key strengths. Students had the chance to visit and experience the learning environment and practical facilities firsthand.

Through this diverse range of activities, the conference has become an effective bridge between the college, learners, enterprises, and management agencies. It promotes student streaming (vocational tracking) and improves human resource quality to meet socio-economic development requirements in the new era.
One of the conference's key highlights was the direct counseling sessions, providing comprehensive and accurate information on training programs, enrollment methods, student support policies, and post-graduation job opportunities. Through these activities, students and parents gained a more holistic perspective on vocational education—a practical, effective, and high-potential pathway in the current era.
Additionally, the conference facilitated a closer partnership between the college and prominent enterprises. The discussions and signing of customized training contracts not only enhance training quality but also ensure stable career outcomes for students, aiming toward the goal of "aligning training with social needs, and bridging the gap between theory and practice”.
